Crazy move

I've been bad about updating this. Sorry! Moving across the country was HUGE. We are finally settling in. I shall soon start posting many pictures!

Wait, what?

So, it was like any other summer. I was working some days freelance as an editor and other days home with my kids. I was trying to rewatch every episode of Twin Peaks before heading to the Twin Peaks Festival in and around North Bend/Snoqualmie, Washington at the end of the month. I like to be fresh on my Twin Peaks trivia, because I've placed in the top 3 a few times (tooting my own horn). My husband Seth was approached to interview for Amazon.com, which he did, but without any actual seriousness about getting the job. Only, in July, he was offered the job. He didn't think he'd take it, and I didn't either. We both love where we live in Metro Detroit. Despite what you hear in the media, Detroit, and Metro Detroit are really cool places. There's a rich artist and DIY community that is amazing. We live a block away from my sons (ages: almost 11 and 6) school, which is an Open Classroom school with amazing teachers and volunteers. We can walk down to Ferndale to drink a cocktail or see live theatre. Seriously. Detroit is the best and I really have no need to leave. Seattle though.... the Pacific Northwest has called to me since the very first episode of Twin Peaks aired 24 years ago. The job sounds great and... we can move to where Twin Peaks was actually shot (the pilot and Fire Walk With Me anyway....) We have decided to move. Here goes nothing...
